Distribution Lists are a useful tool for the mass distribution of mail for a group of Mailboxes. This eliminates to need to send the same email to multiple people, or to send an email to a long list of emails.

Creating a Distribution List in Zimbra Admin

  1. In the Zimbra Admin web client (https://mail.example.com:7071/zimbraAdmin), from the home page, select Manage → Distribution Lists.

  2. In the top right hand corner of the screen, select the Gear icon, and the select New.

  3. A New Distribution List window will open. Here, you can configure the name, account list, and preferences of the new list. When you are done, select Finished.

Just like that, you have a new distribution list. All distribution lists can be managed from the Distribution Lists tab inside of Home → Manage.
